Code Vein has a fair few rewards for trophy hounds to hunt down, so you wouldn’t be blamed for wanting to know what you’re in store for with a completionist run. That’s why we’re here to answer the question: Is there a difficulty trophy and achievement in Code Vein?
Difficulty Trophies & Achievements in Code Vein
To get right to the point, no, Code Vein Does not have a difficulty trophy or achievement for you to unlock.
Like Dark Souls, Bloodborne and other Souls-like games, Code Vein has a fixed difficulty that slowly ramps up as you progress through the game. This allows for a steadier progression system that, in theory, will prevent you from ever feeling like a new area is too easy for you.
It’s a bit of a bummer for challenge fiends, but this design choice also means you won’t have to worry about struggling through the game multiple times for a completed game trophy if you don’t want to. One playthrough will be plenty enough, and you an shift your focus toward the rest of the game’s challenges.
Ways to Make Code Vein More Difficult
While there is no difficulty trophy or achievements in Code Vein if you’re desperately looking for a way to make the game more difficult, there’s always Code Vein’s new game plus mode.
Again mirroring other Souls-like titles, Code Vein’s new game plus mode sees you replay the game with tougher enemies and bosses, scaled to match your current level and power from completing the game.
It’s a fitting challenge for those who want it, but others should be warned that it will pose an equal, if not greater, challenge as that posed by your first playthrough of the game.
Hopefully this cleared up whether there’s a difficulty trophy and achievement in Code Vein. For more on the game, check out our guide wiki as well as a new trailer for the game shown during Microsoft’s Sept. 24 Inside Xbox stream.
