Borderlands 3: What the Download & Install Size Is

borderlands 3 install size

With over a billion different guns (kinda…), a meaty thirty-plus hour campaign, and plenty of side missions and end game content to dive into, Borderlands 3 brings more fans the Vault Hunting action they’ve been asking for for years. Of course, with such a big, open world game on the way, players are likely wondering what Borderlands 3‘s download and install size is.

What Borderlands 3’s Download & Install Size Is

Players can now preload Borderlands 3 ahead of the official release date tomorrow, but if you’re wondering how much the game’s going to be taking up on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via Epic Games Store), here’s what you need to know.

  • PS4 – 38.265 GB
  • Xbox One – 40.02 GB
  • PC – 55.8 GB

The download size actually isn’t as big as we had expected it to be, with a lot of open world titles now weighing in above and beyond the 50 GB mark, but that shouldn’t be any cause for concern.

What’s New in Borderlands 3?

Borderlands 3 is very much more of the same that fans of the series have already poured hundreds of hours into.

With four new Vault Hunters, each with three unique skill trees to invest in and customize to suit your playstyle, players will venture across Pandora and beyond to stop the Children of the Vault from claiming them for themselves.

It’ll also be the first time that Rhys from Tales of the Borderlands will make a return to players’ screens since his cameo appearance in the world, and we won’t lie, we’re very excited about it.

Gearbox Software were also very quick to point out that Borderlands 3 features over one billion guns. That’s a slight play on the truth, as this includes the same weapon designs with altered stats, but it still makes for a veritable treat of explosive destruction.

That’s everything you need to know about what the download and install size is for Borderlands 3 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the game, be sure to check out our wiki, or search for Twinfinite.
