Borderlands 3 has been out for nearly two weeks now and fans have been digging into the game for secrets, easter eggs, and even more loot. One of those secrets that you may have missed is the Borderlands 3 cube puzzle. Here’s what you need to know about how to solve the cube puzzle and where to find it.
The cube puzzle is a giant floating cube that hangs above the area known as Desolations Edge. It may appear on the outset as just a piece of fancy scenery, but that is far from the case.
In fact, this giant floating cube is a puzzle waiting to be solved. For those that are able to figure it out are rewarded handsomely with a ton (and I mean a TON) of loot.
Fair warning ahead, there may be spoilers for those who are not near the end of the game below. You have been warned!
Where to Find the Cube Puzzle
The Cube puzzle in Borderlands 3 is located near Desolations Edge towards the final moments of the game. Solving it will drop you tons of amazing rewards that will surely help you with the final boss.
How to Solve the Cube Puzzle
In order to solve the cube, you must have access to the Desolations Edge area, as well as own one of each elemental type of weapon (Cryo, Corrosive, Incendiary, Non-Elemental, Shock, and Radiation).
If you do not have every single type of elemental damage, you can not complete this puzzle. We suggest you head to the nearest vending machine to purchase what you are missing, or head to your favorite loot spot to grab what you need.
Once you have all of them equipped, head out to Desolations Edge. Once you arrive at the cube, you are ready to solve the puzzle.
To solve this puzzle, you need to shoot each side of the cube with a different elemental type.
Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which side needs what element, so it is best to try firing all elemental types at each side until it glows bright orange.
Once a side lights up, you can move on to a different section of the cube. Keep shooting at it with the remaining elements you have until all six sides are lit up.
As soon as you have completed the puzzle, the cube will stop rotating, split apart, and begin raining loot from underneath in a pinata-like fashion.
Keep in mind that this cube puzzle can only be completed once per character and the loot that drops will be dependent on your current level.
If you would rather the loot that drops from the cube to be of a higher caliber, you may want to wait until you are max level before completing the puzzle.
