Quality Machines

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod adds a few new machines to your game of Stardew Valley focusing on quality artisan goods.

They work exactly like the existing machines in the game, but will actually keep the quality of the base resource through to the completed artisan good. As well, putting in large sized items will in turn make more smaller artisan goods in exchange.

The six machines include better versions of a keg, preserving barrel, cheese maker, oil press, mayonnaise machine, and bait machine.

Seasonal Windows

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod adds some windows you can put in your home in Stardew Valley that can be changed based on what season you want to portray outside.

While you will have to manually change the windows yourself if you want them to reflect the actual seasons in-game, they are only 100 gold each and can be bought at Robin’s store.

They are animated as well, so they seem more lifelike and add more character to your home.

The outside frame comes in three different colors, being birch, oak, and dark.

Coffee Maker

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod adds an adorable little coffee maker machine to your game of Stardew Valley.

To make one in the crafting menu, it requires 30 wood, one Refined Quartz, and five Coal.

Instead of keeping a keg in your kitchen for your morning cup of joe, this coffee maker can take its place and look a lot more at home with your other kitchen appliances in Stardew Valley.

Just like the keg, it requires five coffee beans per cup of coffee.

Terracotta Garden Pots

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod only offers a small fix, but makes the game’s pots look a lot better.

It takes the normal skin of the garden pot and replaces it with a new one with a terracotta style as seen above.

The normal garden pots in the game are really square, and lack depth since the sprite looks like you are looking down on them. These new pots are circular, and look more aesthetically pleasing when the plants are actually in them.

Basic Resource Converters

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod adds some new machines which take common items and turns them into into more useful Stardew Valley items.

The Wood Compacter converts five normal Wood into one Hardwood, the Baler converts 10 Fiber into five Hay, and the Extractor converts five tree seeds into their respective tapper products.

In order to run, each machine needs:

  • Compactor: 20 Wood, 10 Stone, one Iron Bar. Works over one hour.
  • Baler: 20 Wood, 10 Stone, five Iron Bar, one Copper. Works over two hours.
  • Extractor: 10 Iron Bar, five Refined Quartz, two Coal. Works over one hour.

JuniMart

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod makes it so after you complete all the challenges to restore the Community Center, the Junimos will claim the abandoned JojaMart and make it their new home.

Even though it’s just a visual tweak to the outside of the building, it’s a fun new detail that makes sense with the completion of the Stardew Valley story.

There are even special sprites for all four seasons as well, with snow on the roof in winter and fallen leaves in fall.

Cutesy Furniture Pack

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

This mod offers a fun furniture pack of items that are perfect for someone decorating a house with a cute, dollhouse look.

The pack includes 145 items in total, ranging from beds and chairs to tables and bathtubs. Almost every item has soft pastel colors that pair with white accents.

The items themselves are taken from a mod released back in April 2018 entitled Yellog’s Pink Colored Furniture, but were converted to a custom furniture mod so these new skins didn’t overwrite the original skins in the vanilla game.

Steve from Stranger Things as NPC

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

All the Stranger Things fans will be happy with this mod, as it adds popular character Steve Harrington to the game as a custom NPC.

Steve is marriable, has five heart events, his own spouse room, and a custom schedule and dialogue. His portrait has several custom sprites and he even has several animations as well.

His storyline description on the mod page reads,” Steve moved away from Hawkins to try and live a calmer life somewhere else. Suffering from very mild PTSD, Steve moves into to Stardew Valley where there are no monsters, and no life-threatening situations.”

Steve is friends with Clint and Alex in town, and will live with Alex if you don’t choose him as a spouse.

Legendary Fish Mounts

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

With this mod you can craft or purchase some special mounts to keep all the legendary fish you catch on display in your home.

The five legendary fish that can be mounted include the Angler Fish, Crimsonfish, Glacier Fish, Legend Fish, and Mutant Carp.

You can make them through crafted recipes, or purchase them from Willy at his fishing shop on the beach as well for 250 gold each. To craft them only requires some Wood and the legendary fish itself.

Food Buff Stacking

Best Stardew Valley Mods of August 2019

When you eat food that contains buffs in Stadew Valley, you can only ever benefit from one buff at a time.

This mod changes that so instead of the previous buff getting cancelled when you eat a new item, they will all stack and time out as normal.

The buffs appear at the top of the page, and more information can still be read from them when you hover over them with the cursor.
