First of all, we get to see the Grimwald’s Night feature that prompts the Monstrum to gather in a strange place where the sky is painted red and do battle against countless monsters named Larva.

By defeating the larva and putting an end to the Grimwald’s Night you can liberate the borders of the city of Balduq and expand the area you can explore. Since the Grimwald’s night is an all-out battle between Monstrum and Larva, at times you can see other Monstrum who aren’t members of our party fight against the Larva on their own.

The Grimwald Night is triggered by filling up the NOX Gauge, which in turns happen by defeating Larva in the city. You can find them by exploring areas in which the screen turns to shades of grey.
