Remnant From the Ashes is a very difficult game, much like the Souls games that inspired it. But, just like in Souls games, you can always grind a little to make that boss a little easier. Here’s how to level up fast.
While your character doesn’t gain levels in exactly the same way, the trait system means you can increase things like your maximum health, among other things.
How to Level up Fast in Remnant From the Ashes
The key to leveling up quickly can be obtained right at the beginning of the game if you know where to look.
After leaving Ward 13, the very first place you are taken to is the Founders Hideout on Earth. Here you will find the Ward 13 Key Card on a table in the main room.
With this in hand, return to Ward 13. Head towards the reactor from the game’s tutorial, where you had your first fight with the Root. It is down a flight of stairs from the room which houses the consumable and scrap merchants.
But instead of going inside, continue down the stairs until you reach a locked door. Use the Ward 13 Key Card to unlock it, and the room we want is the second on the left.
Inside, you will find a tape recorder. Inspecting it will unlock the Elder Knowledge trait, which earns you additional experience for everything you do, from completing quests to killing foes.
At max level, it will net you an additional 35% experience points, which is huge. Make maxing it out a priority, and you shouldn’t have any issues maxing out your character over the course of the game.
To recap,
- Obtain the Ward 13 Key Card
Travel to the Founders Hideout, and it can be found on the table in the center of the main room.
- Unlock the locked door in Ward 13
Use the Ward 13 Key Card to gain access to the sealed-off area below the reactor room.
- Obtain the Elder Knowledge trait
This can be unlocked by interacting with the recorder, it is located in the second room on the left from the sealed door.
