Best Weapons to Use in Fire Emblem Three Houses

White Magic

  • Abraxas
  • Aura
  • Recover

White magic is primarily focused on healing and buffing allies, but you can unlock some seriously powerful spells by leveling up this skill as well.

Recover is hands down the best healing spell in the game, and is only let down by its low durability. Once you’ve leveled up your Faith skill enough, you’ll also gain access to more offensive and damaging magic like Abraxas and Aura, with good Might and decent Hit stats.

Swords

  • Sublime Creator Sword
  • Blutgang
  • Thunderbrand

Swords aren’t really the best weapon type in Fire Emblem Three houses, but they’re varied enough to give you tons of options in combat.

The Blutgang is a good sword choice for magic users, while the Thunderbrand and Sublime Creator Sword boast some pretty high Might stats with good Hit rates.

Lances

  • Lance of Ruin
  • Areadbhar
  • Spear of Assal

Without a doubt, the Lance of Ruin and Areadbhar are easily the best lances you can get in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Their Might stats are some of the highest in the game, and their low weight makes them easy to carry around during combat.

The only thing holding these weapons back is the low durability, and the difficulty of repairing Hero Relic weapons.

The Spear of Assal is much weaker, but provides HP recovery with every turn.

Axes

  • Aymr
  • Freikugel
  • Silver Axe

Similarly, the best axes in Fire Emblem Three Houses are the Aymr in Freikugel, both of which are also Hero Relic weapons.

Aymr is the best axe for Edelgard, while the Freikugel will serve Hilda well as a Fortress Knight or Wyvern Lord.

We should also give a shout out to the Bolt Axe, as it’s another excellent melee weapon for units with high magic stats.

Bows

  • Failnaught
  • Brave Bow
  • Longbow

There aren’t that many good bows in the game, unfortunately, and Claude’s Failnaught easily takes the top spot here.

The Failnaught has the highest Might stat in the game, as far as bows go, and also gives him the Falling Star Combat Art when equipped.

The Brave Bow is a nice alternative for your other ranged users, as is the Longbow, which gives you quite a bit of extra range.

Black Magic

  • Hades
  • Ragnarok
  • Meteor

Lastly, the black magic spells in Fire Emblem Three Houses are all pretty much on the same level, but we’ve picked out a few that pack a bit of an extra punch.

Meteor is one of the best spells in the game, purely because of its range. You can deal a ton of damage to almost any enemy on the field, opening them up for an easy kill.

Hades and Ragnarok are two of the hardest hitting spells in the game as well, though you’ll need to watch out for their durability.

And those are our picks for the best weapons to use in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Be sure to check our Fire Emblem Three Houses guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
