Today Koei Tecmo hosted a livestream celebrating the completion of development of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout.
First of all, we get the debut of the first Switch gameplay, providing a good at what the game looks like on Nintendo’s console.
The video starts with the alchemy system, with a showcase of how it works in the new game.
We also take a good look at the meny and the party setting screen, then we go out in the world to explore.
The presentation progresses with a look at combat and even more alchemy.
The second video showcases more Switch gameplay, providing a look at the custom levels levels you can create by synthetizing special Travel Bottles.
Those can also be shared with other players via password, more or less like the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne.
The ingredients you use determine the kind of environment you’ll generate and the enemies you’ll encounter, on top of the materials you’ll find.
And that’s not all. We get to see an additional trailer showcasing the ability to customize Ryza’s house, the custom levels mentioned above, and more features.
Another video showcases the Changing Room feature, that lets you change costumes for Ryza and her companions. There appears to be quite a variety of outfits.
Last, but not least, we get to take a close look at the prototype of the figure in that will be released by Wonderful Works, which was initially revealed at Wonder Festival.
If you want to see more, you can also check out the latest screenshots, a trailer focusing on the story, the previous batch of screenshots, two more trailers, the previous trailer that revealed a new character and the theme song, plenty more recent gameplay footage, another video featuring the soundtrack, the first video and another brief clip released recently, and two more.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout releases in Japan for PS4 and Switch on September 26. Afterward, it’ll launch in North America on October 29 and in Europe on November 1 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
