If you pick up the Deluxe Edition of Wolfenstein Youngblood, you’ll be given a Buddy Pass. This entitles you to invite another player who doesn’t have the game to play alongside you throughout the entire story without having to pick up the game themselves. Here’s how to use the Buddy Pass to play co-op multiplayer in Wolfenstein Youngblood.
What Is the Wolfenstein Youngblood Buddy Pass?
Wolfenstein Youngblood only supports online co-op, but Bethesda is intent on ensuring it’s easy for you to experience the game as a true co-op experience thanks to the Buddy Pass. This is included as part of the game’s ‘Deluxe Edition’ which is the only physical version of the game available to purchase.
The Buddy Pass enables whoever picks up the Deluxe Edition of the game to invite one friend to download and play the game with them for free. They don’t need to pick up a copy of the game, nor will they only be limited to a small portion of Wolfenstein Youngblood’s story. It’s the whole thing, in co-op, for free, as long as you play with the Deluxe Edition owner.
It’s also worth noting that the Buddy Pass isn’t a single-use thing. You’ll be able to use the Buddy Pass to play Wolfenstein Youngblood’s co-op multiplayer with as many friends as you want, according to the game’s FAQ page.
How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer with Wolfenstein Youngblood Buddy Pass
Before you go sharing your code with your friend, it’s worth making sure that they’ve got any online subscriptions such as PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live, as you’ll need this to play online. Your friend will also need to download the ‘Trial’ version of Youngblood from your platform’s online store. Once this is done, it’s down to you to invite them to a game.
To do this, select Play Game from the main menu and choose your character preferences. Next, you’ll be given the option to ‘Host Game.’ Select this, and then set the ‘Who Can Join’ option to ‘Private’ or ‘Friends Only.’
You can then use the option just below this to invite your chosen friend to play Wolfenstein Youngblood in co-op multiplayer with you. The Buddy Pass isn’t some sort of code you give to other players, but a privilege that remains on your account permanently and allows you to play with anyone who downloads the Trial version of the game.
That’s everything you need to know to use the Buddy Pass to play Wolfenstein Youngblood’s co-op multiplayer. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out more of our guides on the game down below, or search for Twinfinite.
