Following today’s trailer of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Nintendo has been publishing new artwork of the new characters and pokemon showcased.
We get to see gym leaders Bea and Allister, Galar Pokemon League chairman Rose, and his secretary and vice president Oleana.
Speaking of the pokemon themselves, we see the Steel/Dragon-type Duraludon, another look at Yamper, Fairy-type Alcremie and her Gigantamax version, Gigantamax Drednaw and Gigantamax Corviknight.
We also take a look at the Pokemon Sword and Shield Double Pack including Dynamax Crystals that lets you fight Dynamax Larvitar and Dynamax Jangmo-o in special Max Raid Battles. You also get twelve Quick Balls as a bonus for digital pre-orders.
You can check them all out in the gallery below.
The publisher also provided more information about each in a string of tweets, which you can read below.
Dynamaxing only occurs in specific areas of the Galar region, but there is also a special phenomenon known as Gigantamaxing! Only certain species of Pokémon can Gigantamax, and those that do will also change appearance! #PokemonSwordShieldhttps://t.co/qABt8Lzo7G pic.twitter.com/iwV8i0xSpd

Gigantamaxing has allowed Drednaw to stand on its hind legs and crash down on opponents with its massive body!
Gigantamax energy has caused the armor covering Corviknight’s wings to separate and become blade birds, capable of independent flight. pic.twitter.com/7dmiV8SpVU

Alcremie, a Fairy-type Cream Pokémon, produces whipped cream often used by pastry chefs to make delicious desserts! The happier Alcremie is, the richer the whipped cream! When attacked, Alcremie throws a sweet-scented cream to blind or distract the opponent. #PokemonSwordShield pic.twitter.com/NLsirLzPNy

Gigantamax Alcremie has resistance to physical attacks due to the cream pouring out of its body, which hardens when subjected to impact. Fairy-type moves used by Gigantamax Alcremie will change to G-Max Finale, healing all Pokemon on its side while dealing damage to foes. pic.twitter.com/ULL6LMuzJt
