How to Get Scarlet Scythe Pickaxe in Fortnite

The first thing you’re going to need in order to get Fortbyte 94 is the Scarlet Scythe pickaxe itself. This actually requires you to have reached Tier 87 and have unlocked the Demi skin on the Season 9 Battle Pass.

Upon doing so, you’ll also unlock some additional challenges. One of these requires you to have 70 Fortbytes, and as long as you do, you’ll unlock the Scarlet Scythe pickaxe.

Fortbyte 94 Location: Where the Blue Canoe Under a Frozen Lake Is – C7

Now that we’ve got the required pickaxe, it’s simply a case of tracking down the blue canoe. Fortunately, the Fortbyte clue itself is pretty helpful, informing us that it’s under a frozen lake. Considering there’s only one on the entire map, it narrows things down a bit.

Specifically, you want to head to the frozen lake that’s just north of Polar Peak and west of Shifty Shafts, it was where Greasy Grove was before it got rekt with the introduction of the snowy biome in Season 7.

Once you arrive here, you’re looking for the building roof in the center of the lake. It’s rectangular in shape and looks like a store roof, rather than a house roof. Smash through this and drop down to the balcony or first floor.

Here, you’ll find the blue canoe mounted on the wall. Simply get your Scarlet Scythe pickaxe and hack away to get Fortbyte 94.

That’s everything you need to know on how to get Fortbyte 94 by smashing a blue canoe under a frozen lake in Fortnite. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding Season 9 guide wiki, or more of our Fortbyte guides down below.
