The Fire Emblem series is making a comeback in a big way: with a brand new mainline entry marking the series’ debut on the Nintendo Switch. Here’s how to increase your professor level in Fire Emblem Three Houses.
What Is Professor Level in Fire Emblem Three Houses?
Aside from your character’s personal level, which you gain experience for in combat, you’ve also got to think about your professor level, which comes into play during the school life sections of Fire Emblem Three Houses.
The professor level is definitely an important meter to keep track of, as it determines the number of actions you can take during your free days, as well as how much allowance you get from the Monastery.
By raising your professor level in the game, you’ll receive the following benefits:
- Increased monthly allowance from the Monastery
- Increased number of activity points
- Unlocking Master classes
With more money, you can purchase more items and weapons. With more activity points, you can engage in more Monastery events to raise your students’ motivation levels, bond with them, and earn renown points. And, of course, unlocking better classes in the game allows your units to become even more powerful on the battlefield.
How to Increase Professor Level in Fire Emblem Three Houses
Thankfully, almost everything you do in the Monastery will count as progress towards your next level. We’ve listed all the ways you can level up quickly down below:
- Fishing
- Gardening
- Finding fishing and gardening guides around the Monastery
- Monastery activities
The nice thing about fishing and gardening is that they don’t use up activity points at all. If you have bait or seeds, you can head to the south of the Monastery to engage in these activities, and you’ll get a small boost in level progress.
In addition to that, as you’re wandering around the Monastery, you’ll occasionally come across item pickups around the environment. If you happen to find fishing and gardening tips or notes, these will also increase your level progress.
Lastly, Monastery activities like faculty training, tournaments, choir practice, meal sharing, and answering advice notes correctly will also count towards your progress. Do note, however, that choir practice and meal sharing take up one activity point each.
Faculty training and tournaments also take up one point each, but are definitely worth looking into. Faculty training will give you small experience boosts in whichever skills you wish to strengthen, while tournaments at the training grounds are hosted occasionally for specific weapon types. Tournaments, in particular, give you a ton of professor level experience, so make sure to take part in those whenever you can.
