Fire Emblems: Three Houses brings new life to the classic turn-based strategy series by introducing a host of new features, namely through its school-based setting. You’ll be pairing characters up for weekly tasks, and recruit students from other houses into yours so you can utilize their combat skills in battle. Here’s what you need to know about online in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Is There Versus or Co-Op Multiplayer in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
So first, let’s bring the bad news. Unfortunately, there’s no traditional online multiplayer in either Versus or Co-Op form in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. While there are online features, there’s nothing that enables you to engage with other players ‘live’ online.
How to Play Online in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Buy Items From Online Travelers
As long as you have a connection to the internet, you can go and speak to the Online Liaison NPC in the Monastery to send your characters to other players’ worlds, and allow other players’ characters to enter your Monastery.
These travelers to your Monastery bring items for sale. These weapons can be bought at a slightly cheaper price than normal stores in the game, so there is a benefit to checking this out and engaging in Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ online functionality.
Play the Recon Mini-Game for Easy Gold
You’ll also have the option to play the Recon mini-game when talking to travelers. This is basically just a hide and seek mini-game, where you need to find that particular traveler somewhere within the Monastery in a set time limit. It’s fairly easy and you get a small gold reward every time you find someone, so it’s well worth making use of to help you rack up funds for your battles.
Online Stats
Finally, if you’re connected to the internet, you can also view stats of what other players did on free days. For instance, during free days, you can see the percentage of players who chose to Explore, Battle, do Seminars, and those who just chose the Rest option. It’s not exactly online play, but it’s a neat feature nonetheless.
