You’ll be able to purchase weapons and armor from the Armory, but only on Sundays. If you go to the Monastery menu, select Marketplace, and then select Armory and you will be taken to a shop where you can use your money to choose from a selection of weapons.
If you connect your Switch to the internet while you play Fire Emblem Three Houses, other players’ characters might show up in the Monastery, and you will even be able to purchase weapons from them at a slight discount –talk about friends with benefits.
And the last way to buy weapons and armor is by opening up locked chests that you can encounter on the battlefield during fights. You’re going to have to unlock them by using a Chest Key that you can find at the Item Shop over at the Marketplace.
Aside from just purchasing them, you can also obtained Rusted weapons from enemies, which can be Forged at the Blacksmith to turn them into Iron variants.
Lastly, new weapons can also be obtained by killing enemies with loot on them, or opening chests on the battlefield.
