As you progress through Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you’ll begin leveling up your characters and making use of even more powerful classes available to you by having them pass Certification Exams. Master Seals are something you’re going to need for a lot of the best classes in the game. Here’s how to get Master Seals in Fire Emblem Three Houses and what they do.
What Are Master Seals?
Just like Dark Seals, Master Seals are used to let a character take a Certification Exam for a stronger class. Intermediate Seals, for example, are used for the Intermediate Class, while Dark Seals are used for the Dark Mage class.
How to Get Master Seals in Fire Emblem Three Houses
Master Seals can be bought for 3,000 at the Item Shop, but this only has limited quantities from week to week. This is your only option for getting Master Seals during Act 1 of Fire Emblem Three Houses, but once you reach Act 2, you’ll get a much better, unlimited source for Master Seals.
During Act 2, you’ll find Anna the Merchant in the marketplace. Speak to her and you’ll be given a quick side quest that’ll then enable her to open her item shop. This will be in the same place she’s standing, and will sell unlimited Master Seals at the same 3,000 price tag as the standard shop.
How to Use Master Seals in Fire Emblem Three Houses
To use a Master Seal, you need to wait until you’ve got a free day and then choose to take a Certification Exam for one of the characters.
When you’re on a free day, open up the menu and choose Certifications. Then, choose the unit you want to upgrade, and then choose whichever of the Master Classes that’s best suited to the character. At this point, your seal will be used and the student will take the exam. If their stats are of a high enough level to reach that particular Master Class’ requirements, they’ll pass.
