Following the panel at San Diego Comic-Con in which Hideo Kojima shared many new Death Stranding details and the cover art, he provided an official, direct-feed version of the artwork on Twitter.
The artwork showcases protagonist Sam “Porter” Bridges with his gaze lost somewhere to the side of the camera. It’s rather foreboding and certainly interesting.
You can take a good look below and at the bottom of the post.

More images with the actual box art with all the logos and the artwork created for the SteelBook were then shared by Sony Interactive Entertainment via the PlayStation Blog.
Interestingly, Kojima-san also shared images of the sunglasses worn by Nicolas Winding Refn, who lends his likeness to Heartman in the game. They’re a reproduction of the actual glasses he wears in the game, created in collaboration with Tokyo-based boutique J.F.REY.
