SekC Physics Mod

best minecraft mods for june 2019

Sometimes it can be really anticlimactic to kill a bunch of zombies, and just have them poof into thin air, dropping some rotten meat as they presumably ascend to Minecraft heaven.

Sometimes you just want to dance on their corpse a little, and that’s totally okay.Well fantasize no more, the SekC physics mod has the answer you are looking for.

This fantastic mod adds a nice pinch of realistic physics to your Minecraft experience and allows zombies, skeletons and pig men to collapse to the ground like IKEA deckchairs.

If you always wanted your enemies to crumble before you, but also in the most hilarious way possible, then this mod is for you.

Homeward Bone Homeward bone mod

Ever been blocks-deep in a dungeon, pockets full of ores, and then suddenly your sword breaks just as the cave swarms with enemies? Or you’re utterly lost in a jungle, desperate for the warm comforts of your pixellated bedsheets?

Well then, the homeward bone is for you! This mod introduces the craftable ‘homeward bone’ item, which you can craft using a bone and an ender pearl.

Whilst the Ender Pearl can teleport you somewhat away from danger, the homeward bone takes you right back to your snug spawn location, safely within the cozy wooden walls of your cottage.

Camera Mod

Did you ever dream that one day Minecraft would join forces with Instagram? Neither did we, but it’s happened anyway.

Introducing the camera mod, where you can take pictures of your animals, scenic views, or a beautiful landscape of zombies burning in the sun.

You can add filters to your pictures, like a true Instagram connoisseur. What makes this mod infinitely better than a screenshot is the ability to insert these images directly into your world.

Snap some pics and pin them to the walls of your home, so everyone can see what a talented photographer you are when they visit to steal your loot.

Netherthings Mod

Ever found the Nether to be a little lackluster at times? Same old lava, same old reddish bricks, and glowstone. Meh.

Maybe it could use a bit of color…We’re not asking for much, just to have all the ores available there, along with mushrooms, new vegetation and a new ore stronger than diamond.

Simple things. Well, the Netherthings mod has you covered. This mod allows all the mineable ores to be obtainable in the Nether, as well as introducing glowstone and quartz to the overworld as mineable loot.

Not only that, but the mod also gives you Vibranium, a brand new ore that is better than diamond, and can be crafted into tools and armor with obsidian rods (can’t make it too easy).

And a ‘netherthing’ (heh), we didn’t forget mushrooms, which are now miraculously growing across the nether along with a new type of cactus, contrary to all laws of nature.

But I suppose the nether is contrary to all laws of nature as well.

Hex Lands

For those of you into boardgames, particularly games like The Settlers of Catan, then look no further than the hex lands mod. This mod generates hexagonal biomes with varying border heights, creating a crazy new Minecraft experience.

It can also make multiplayer servers more diverse and exciting, and as you hop from one symmetrical biome to the next, you never know if it will be a simple step over, or you fall into an endless crevice.

Just the kind of gameplay to keep you on your toes, unless of course you fall and break them.

MyBrightness Mod

The MyBrightness mod is a simple but effective little mod that allows the adjustment of in-game brightness levels. This can allow for either more aesthetically pleasing gameplay or the equivalent of relentlessly using the Flash HM in Pokemon.

You will never need torches again, but you are inherently more likely to get killed.

VoxelMap Mod

The VoxelMap mod You get a little mini-map in the upper right corner of your screen that is extremely customizable, along with a fullscreen map option that gradually expands according to what you’ve explored so far.

This amazing mod makes your gameplay feel so much more like a serious adventure, as you explore the vast open world. You can even set waypoints, ensuring you never get lost. For someone who gets lost after walking about 50 blocks, this mod is a godsend.

Better Animals + Mod

Exactly what it says on the tin, the Better Animals + mod practically gives your game a new lease on life, providing a selection of impressive and highly detailed animals for you to pet, ride and run the heck away from (when you see the tarantula you’ll understand).

The mod adds passive mobs, hostile mobs and even provides a miniboss. This really diversifies the Minecraft experience, making exploration more enjoyable than ever before.

And who doesn’t love some cute deer, doggies and…giant hairy spiders?

The Flying Things Mod

With all the Aladdin remake hype going around lately (particularly that of Will Smith’s new look), why not join in the excitement in Minecraft, with The Flying Things mod?

This mod introduces the ability to craft a wide variety of broomsticks and flying carpets, ensuring that you always ride in style. See you later, saddled pigs.

Why not live the Harry Potter fantasy on a Minecraft broom, or save a pixellated Princess Jasmine on your Minecraft flying carpet? It’s all up to you, so definitely give this mod a try.

Simply Light Mod

Ever get tired of the same old medieval torches and glowstone lighting up your base and ruining the aesthetic? Well, thank god for the Simply Light mod.

This mod gives players the opportunity to light up their homes in a far more fashionable way, featuring a diverse array of lighting styles.

Whether it be edge lights, or larger panels, your base of operations is about to become a heck of a lot cooler.
