The demo showcased has only been shown before behind closed doors to media, so this is something that you likely haven’t seen. It’s set in the colony named Monarch, also knows as Terra 1, a place that’s very dangerous and inhospitable.

We get to see an extensive playthrough of the demo, and since this is an RPG, a big part of it is the dialogue system.

In the video that you’ll find below you can check out how conversations happen, and even some combat and plenty of conversations.

Interestingly, we get to see the flaw system. If you accept a flaw that you’re given by the system depending on what happens, you can receive a perk point at the price of penalties related to the flaw itself.

The world of the game definitely feels super-intriguing, and the hand of Obsidian certainly shows in its design and flavor.

If you want to see more of The Outer Worlds, you can check out the trailer revealed a few days ago during Microsoft’s press briefing, on top of another gameplay demo showcased at GDC.

The Outer Worlds releases on October 25, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
