As we approach what is shaping up to be a big July for the system, one of the Nintendo’s big 2019 exclusives has finally arrived. Following the promise of the Wii U debut, Super Mario Maker 2 gives fans of the franchise more levels to play though, more tools to make levels with, and even some new game styles to build in. If you’re here, though, you’ll be wondering how much space the game will take up on your console, especially with there being so much to it. Here’s everything you need to know about what the install size is for Super Mario Maker 2.
What Super Mario Maker 2’s Install Size Is
Unlike many other big exclusives on the Switch, you don’t actually need that much hard drive or SD card space to download Super Mario Maker 2 from the Nintendo Switch’s store.
According to the Nintendo Switch store page for the game, its install size is 3027.24 MB, which is just under three GBs. If you don’t already have that space free on your system, it’d be smart to get it ready now, so that you can save as much time as possible once the game launches and you’re able to download it.
We don’t know quite yet how much space you’ll need if you’ve bought Super Mario Maker 2 physically. It is unlikely to be very much at all, but we’ll be sure to let you know very soon, once we know that exact figure.
Either way, Super Mario Maker 2 won’t have a very big install size, so you shouldn’t need to worry too much, even if you’ve not got an SD card handy.
