Judgment’s main character, Takayuki Yagami, is a quick and agile fighter with a ton of abilities he can use to take down the thugs wandering Kamuchoro. Many of these abilities have to be unlocked, however, and a good amount of them require you to find a specific skill book. With that, here’s how to get double quickstep (Rush Training Skill Book) in Judgment.
How to Get Double Quickstep (Rush Training Skill Book) in Judgment
One of the most useful skills you can get, just like in the Yakuza games, is the ability to double quickstep. This’ll allow you to use the X button to execute two quick dodges in a row, massively upgrading your dodging abilities.
You can get double quickstep by finding the Rush Training Skill Book very early on in the game, but it’s super easy to miss. Before we tell you how, don’t worry if you miss it in Chapter 1 there’s still a way to get it later down the road.
About halfway through Chapter 1 of Judgment, Yagami and Kaito will go to investigate a Yakuza hideout called KJ Art. Play through the various segments until you put on a disguise and enter the building.
On the second floor, you’ll find a locked room with a code, and you probably noticed the inside of this room earlier while using the drone, as it has a shining skill book lying on the ground.
You can find the code during the Search segment in the office, but if you need it the code is 8919.
Just enter it on the second-floor door and you’ll be able to pick up the Rush Training Skill Book. Now you can head to your Skills menu and find Double Quickstep for purchase.
This’ll then lead to Dodge Roll, which adds a third dodge on, and Quickstep Strike, which lets you execute a quick attack after a Quickstep.
Now if you’ve already missed the book in KJ Art, you’ll need to wait until Chapter 5. At this point, a merchant named Morio Onadera will appear in the sewers, the same place you find the doctor in an earlier chapter.
Go talk to him, and Morio will sell you a number of items in exchange for SP, one of which is the Rush Training Skill book, if you missed it. This way you’re not missing out on anything, you’ll just need to wait a bit longer to get those extra Quicksteps in.
