Eventually, you will want to take on Fortresses, which are basically gyms from Pokemon Go. Inside each Fortress are a series of Ruin Chambers you will have to defeat.

Battling enemies in Ruin Chambers is different from casting typical spells like you’ve been doing up until this point. You will defend against incoming spells by swiping in the direction prompted on the screen.

Attacking is a little trickier, it will require you to place your finger on the reticle shown on your screen, which is usually going to be at the top. Pull down and then trace the spell that pops up with your finger. The more accurate you are in tracing the path of the spell, the more powerful the spell will be.

You’ll probably need to do this a few times to fully reduce their stamina meter. Once you’ve defeated your opponent, you’ll be able to move on to the next challenge in the Fortress.

Once this is complete, you’ll be able to move onto the next Ruins Chamber and continue your fight through the Fortress.
