The latest content expansion for Square Enix’s venerable MMO Final Fantasy XIV is finally able to be played, bringing a new story and gameplay mechanics. But not everything is available at launch. Here’s what you need to know about how to start the Eden Raid in Shadowbringers.
How to Start FFXIV Shadowbringers Eden Raid
Unfortunately, as you might have deduced from the above, the Eden Raid isn’t available at launch. While Shadowbringers will be playable from July 2, it will not be until subsequent patches that you will have the opportunity to play the Eden Raid content.
Namely, Patch 5.0.1 will add the normal difficulty version of the Eden Raid on July 16. UPDATED: Which is today! So let’s break down where you can start the Eden Raid
Quest Giver and Requirements
First, you have to be level 80, duh. Then you must have also completed the main story quest through Shadowbringers, AKA the entirety of it.
The quest giver can be found in The Crystarium at X:9.7 Y:12.3. Its name is Anxious Crystarium Guard. You can find it on the map more easily by looking for the bluish quest marker with the plus sign on it.
However, that’s not the quest that actually unlocks the Eden Raid, that just starts the quest line. You have to play through the next quest, Deploy the Core in actually unlock the Eden raid itself. However, nothing here is too difficult, just your standard follow the markers, enjoy the story explaining what’s going on and then prepare yourself.
You’ll need to be at least 425 item level in order to jump into the normal version of the Raid.
- Eden Raid Savage Mode
For those wanting to experience the Raid on its savage difficulty mode, they will need to wait until July 30 for Patch 5.0.5. This last patch will also add the Lyhe Ghiahl treasure hunt dungeon, and will also see the launch of the Allagan tomestone of Phantasmagoria currency.
That is everything we have so far about how to start the Eden Raid in FFXIV Shadowbringers. Of course, we will be sure to update this post with more information once Patch 5.0.1 has finally arrived.
