Square Enix had a pretty stacked conference for E3 2019, and just in case you missed it, here’s a round-up of all the trailers we saw today.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Square Enix started off strong with an explosive trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake. We got a nice, long look at the gameplay and combat system, along with the Guard Scorpion boss fight.
We also got to check out an extended trailer, and finally got to see Tifa’s look for the first time.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Don’t get distracted by all the Remake hype. We also got a new trailer for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition.
The Last Remnant Remastered
The Last Remnant Remastered is already on PS4, but Square Enix announced that it would be getting a surprise release on Switch tonight.
Dragon Quest Builders 2
The first Dragon Quest Builders was a decent debut, and the sequel looks to improve on the original in every way possible.
Dragon Quest XI S
Dragon Quest XI is arguably the best entry yet in the series, and it’s about to get even better with Dragon Quest XI S on Switch. This version will feature two gameplay modes and additional story content for the Luminary.
Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind
Oh yeah, that game. Kingdom Hearts III is still a thing, and it’s getting new story DLC this year.
Shadowbringers
Not to be outdone by its single-player peers, producer Naoki Yoshida made an appearance during Square Enix’s E3 2019 conference to hype up the upcoming Shadowbringers expansion for Final Fantasy XIV.
It looks freaking fantastic, has great music, and deserves all the love.
Dying Light 2
And then we get a random trailer for Dying Light 2. It’s that zombie parkour game. It still looks good, but we’re not seeing it again until 2020.
Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions
Who would’ve thought we’d see new SaGa games in the west in 2019? Possibly one of the bigger, albeit low-key, surprises of the conference, Square Enix announced Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions.
War of the Visions
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is one of the more successful FF games on mobile, and War of the Visions is sort of a spin-off game set in that world. It’s going to be a tactical turn-based RPG for mobile devices.
Outriders
Developed by People Can Fly, Outriders is a brand new shooter game that we still don’t know that much about just yet.
Oninaki
Developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, Oninaki is a brand new JRPG brought to you from the same folks who made Lost Sphear and I Am Setsuna. Looks pretty decent so far, here’s hoping it fares better than those first two games.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
As our Publisher Yami so aptly stated, “That heeho gets the crowd goin’.” And sure enough, the second we heard the first words and notes of Liberi Fatali (it’s actually “wecos” and not “heeho” by the way), the crowd went wild.
Final Fantasy VIII is finally getting the remaster treatment. About time!
Avengers
And finally, Square Enix closed their E3 2019 show with a quick look at the upcoming Avengers game. We also got introduced to some of the voice cast for Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Thor. Troy Baker also showed up in a fedora.
