Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the latest game from developer ArtPlay in its vampire-centric RPG side-scroller. Players assume control of Miriam, an orphan who must save herself from an alchemist’s curse by exploring a demon-infested castle. Some players may be wondering whether Ritual of the Night has a co-op multiplayer mode. Well, here’s what you need to know.
Co-Op Multiplayer in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night
The good news is that co-op multiplayer will be coming to Ritual of the Night. That being said, it’s worth noting that it won’t be available for you to access from day-one. Instead, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for a post-launch update that will introduce the mode to the system.
This news was shared via an update over on the Kickstarter page for the game. It’s noted that “Stretch goals will be coming after the game launches and will be free content updates for everyone who owns the game, not just backers.” The list of extra content coming to the game is as follows:
- Two additional playable characters
- Local and online co-op multiplayer and versus multiplayer modes
- Roguelike mode
- Chaos mode
- Classic mode
- Boss Revenge mode
What Is the Co-Op Multiplayer Update Release Date?
Unfortunately, at this moment in time, developer ArtPlay and publisher 505 Games have yet to give exact dates for when the local and online co-op modes will come to Ritual of the Night, or for any of the other post-launch content listed above. As soon as we get an update on when this is going to drop, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
