Inspired by System Shock 2 and Bioshock, with a cell-shaded look that’s reminiscent of Borderlands, Void Bastards is a really stylish shooter. As you make your way through all the spaceships, you’ll be faced by a host of dangerous creatures. So that you can keep progressing, here is everything you need to know about how to heal in Void Bastards.
How to Heal in Void Bastards
Healing is actually a little complicated in the game. Rather than giving you access to single-use healing items or allowing you to regenerate health by hiding from enemies, you’ll have to be very lucky to be able to heal while actually on a ship.
Health Stations
The only way that you can do so is by coming across one of Void Bastards’ health stations. Now, they’re very rare, so don’t rely on there being one on the ship you’re currently fighting through.
They will only appear on XONNOX type ships, which you’ll find have rooms that look like they were designed for medical reasons. Surgery rooms and labs, that sort of thing.
As you explore these ships, keep an eye out for health stations, as they allow you to heal your health once for free. If you’re low on health, be sure to make use of one when you see it, because you might not come across one again anytime soon.
Resting & Travelling
By either resting or traveling to a new location, you are also able to heal. It requires food to do either, which is found in pretty plentiful supply around ships.
You can improve the amount of health you can recover each by 50% each day by crafting the Colon Cleanser item and the Padded Jacket item increases your max health when crafted, and again for each subsequent upgrade.
