Fortnite Season 9 Week 3 Challenges

A quick look at the week 3 challenges shows that there’s really not all that much that’s particularly tricky to figure out what you need to do, or to get them done. But, just in case one of these challenges is causing you some trouble, we’ve broken down quick tips for each one down below.

How to Complete Fortnite Season 9 Week 3 Challenges Fast and Easy

  • Stage 1: Land a Trick with a Driftboard
    • Stage 2: Get 3s of Airtime in a Quadcrasher
    • Stage 3: Destroy Opponent Structures With a Vehicle
  • Search Chests at Lonely Lodge or Polar Peak (7)
  • Deal Damage to an Opponent Within 10s After Using a Slipstream (200)
  • Stage 1: Visit Happy Hamlet and Shifty Shafts in a Single Match
    • Stage 2: Visit Sunny Steps and Dusty Divot in a Single Match
    • Stage 3: Visit Haunted Hills and Salty Springs in a Single Match
  • Throw the Flying Disc Toy and Catch it Before it Lands
  • Explosive Weapon Eliminations (3)
  • Deal Damage With Different Weapons in a Single Match (5)

The first of the challenges is a staged one all about the various vehicles in Fortnite. First, you’ll need to find a Driftboard, which are pretty frequently scattered throughout the map. A few locations are on the hill just south of Neo Tilted, and generally by the yellow camper vans around the map, for example by Loot Lake and just northeast of Pleasant Park.

Once you’ve got one simply jump and boost into the air, and use the left analog stick or your directional keys on PC to rotate. Land the board down and you’ll complete this stage. The next requires you to get three seconds of airtime with a Quadcrasher.

For this, grab one and then ride up a hill or side of a mountain. Boost when you’re in the air directly upwards and you’ll get the airtime needed.

You’ll also want a Quadcrasher for the final stage, as it’s perfect for tearing through opponent structures. When you see an opponent’s structure, simply begin boosting and you’ll plough straight through it. Simple!

Searching chests at Lonely Lodge or Polar Peak is another fairly straightforward challenge in week 3. We suggest playing one of the large team LTMs such as Team Rumble in order to complete this one more easily, as you then won’t have as many people trying to gun you down. Plus, these aren’t the most popular named locations on either side of the map.

Still, we suggest grabbing a weapon as soon as you land just in case an opponent has the same idea.

The best place to deal damage to an opponent within 10 seconds after using a slipstream is certainly Neo Tilted. Not only is this one of the most popular landing spots, meaning there’s plenty of targets for you to deal damage to, but you can easily use the slipstream to circle the named location until you spot an opponent to deal damage to.

Visiting the various named locations in a single match is another straightforward challenge in Season 9 week 3 that doesn’t require a whole lot of explaining. Just grab a vehicle so you can get around the map more quickly, land at one of these locations at the beginning of a match, and make it your mission to get to the other.

For the challenge ‘Throw the Flying Disc Toy and Catch it Before it Lands,’ you’ll first need to have hit Tier 35 on the Battle Pass to unlock this toy. Then, equip it to one of your emote slots on the Locker screen for ease of access in a game. Next, equip it once you’ve landed on the map and throw it directly above you into the air.

It won’t travel too far and will be easy for you to follow the trajectory of, so simply make sure you’re waiting underneath where it’s going to land. You don’t have to press any button to catch it either, that’s all you need to do for this one.

Explosive weapon eliminations will require you to use the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher or the Boom Bow. Use any of these weapons to eliminate players three times and you’ll complete this challenge. The easiest way to do this is to play a team-based mode where you can finish off downed players with these weapons for easy eliminations.

Finally, you’ll need to deal damage with different weapons in a single match. Again, we suggest playing a mode where you can deal damage to a downed player with a variety of weapons. Your pickaxe is always a good one to use, too, as it only deals a small amount of damage but will count towards this challenge.

That’s all you need to know to complete the Fortnite Season 9 week 3 challenges.
