Assetto Corsa Competizione has finally launched out of early access and players can jump into the hyper realistic racing sim. Everything you can imagine a racing driver would have to do is down to the player and is more complicated than you’d expect. You even have to get the car going by yourself. So that you can actually get involved in the racing, here’s everything you need to know about how to start your car in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
How to Start Car in Assetto Corsa Competizione
Some players have been having trouble starting the car so that you can get into the race. If you simply hold the S button to get the car moving, you won’t actually be able to race. You have to make sure that the engine is up and running first.
To do so, you need to engage the ignition sequence. You do that by pressing shift and I at the same time, which will then allow you to hold S to start your car.
This combination of buttons will allow you to set off on the race. From here, you should know what you’re doing, at least to the point of simply driving around the track. There’s a lot to keep an eye on in Competizione, though, so be sure to keep your wits about you.
If you’re struggling with any of the other button inputs in Assetto Corsa Competizione, which you likely will, you can press F2 to open up the controls menu. Here, you’ll be able to check out what you need to do for any other thing that your car can do.
