Sony Interactive Entertainment is about to start its “State of Play” livestream, having promised news and game announcements for PS4 and PlayStation VR.
The broadcast was teased a few days ago, and many (yours truly included) naturally likened the idea to Nintendo’s super-popular “Direct” presentations.
That being said, since this is the first episode, we’re going in blind and we don’t really know what we should expect. Whether it’ll be as relevant and full of news as many expect it’s anyone’s guess.
To say it with the words of SIE’s own Social Media Director Sid Shuman:
“State of Play will give you updates and announcements from the world of PlayStation. Our first episode will showcase upcoming PS4 and PS VR software, including new trailers, new game announcements, and new gameplay footage.”
That’s certainly promising.
In case you miss the broadcast, you can watch it on demand embedded below with ease, or follow along as we report each specific news here on Twinfinite.
Will Sony Interactive Entertainment deliver? You can watch together with us and find out fur yourself just below.
Update: The broadcast has ended, and as promised you can check out the recording below. It was fairly brief but sweet, and while it didn’t many massive news (besides Marvel’s Iron-Man for PlayStation VR), it’s certainly worth watching.
