Upon completing the Fortnite week 5 challenges in Season 8, players will have the chance to nab themselves the week 5 secret star. This gives you a free Tier on your Battle Pass so it’s definitely worth tracking down. Here’s where the Fortnite Season 8 week 5 secret star location is.

What the Week 5 Loading Screen Looks Like

As is always the case, the location of the secret star is hinted at within the loading screen you get for completing the set of weekly challenges. The week 5 loading screen can be seen down below.

At first glance, it looks as though there isn’t even a hint at where the secret star is hiding within the loading screen, but it’s there, you just have to look closer. At the very top of the closest waterfall of lava — a lavafall, if you will — you can see something incredibly faintly obscuring the brown wall in the background, just to the right of the tree. Well, there’s your clue.

As we noted above, the secret star location can be found in grid reference H4, right next to the stream of lava running south of the volcano itself. We’ve provided screenshots of both the in-game map, as well as where the secret star will appear in-game above and below.

Due to the angle shown in the loading screen, it’s difficult to figure out exactly where the secret star will be within this area. However, we’d suggest making your way towards the green container plateau, as shown in the screenshots and having a route around.
