With a grand total of $40 million on the line, anyone after the money can attempt to get a slice of that pie on April 13 when the Fortnite World Cup Online Opens begin. If you qualify to compete in the Online Opens, you’ll be committed to 10 weeks of play.

Each week of the Online Opens has a prize pool of $1 million.

The Online Opens take place completely online meaning competitors can participate from the comfort of their chair. After the initial 10 weeks, the top performers of the Online Opens from each region will be invited to the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City.

The Finals will take place July 26 through July 28 and each competitor will be vying for a share of the $30 million prize pool.

According to the trailer, something will be happening with Fortnite Creative but nothing was specifically detailed — the trailer did say more details on this would be coming soon. An easy guess would be some kind of viewing party on a creative map for the Finals.

Anyone wishing to watch can attend the event in person or watch the Finals during an official stream. Anyone interested in additional information can visit the official page for the competition.
