During a panel at PAX East, Bethesda showcased a celebratory video providing a look at the past and future of The Elder Scrolls franchise.
While the video showcased a lot of emotional moments from the past, it also included a glimpse at the future, including the technology that is being worked on for their future games, including the next chapter of the series, which was teased last year as The Elder Scrolls VI.
We get to see some interesting photogrammetry tech and a 3D scan of Shirley Curry, known among the community as the “Skyrim Grandma,” which may one day appear as a character in the series.
You can watch the video below, set at the point where the really interesting stuff starts. Of course, you can rewind the video to the beginning to see all of it. If you’re an old The Elder Scrolls fan like me, you’ll probably love it.
Incidentally, we also heard that neither The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield are going to appear at E3, but this shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering that they have been saying that both games are a long day off.
That being said, this small glimpse is certainly good for dreaming of the future in which we’ll be able to play The Elder Scrolls VI and most probably mod it into something completely different. That’s what we do with ES games, isn’t it?
