How to Get Food & What it’s Used For in The Division 2
Food is incredibly important for any near-apocalyptic setting, especially in the disaster-struck Washington D.C. of The Division 2. Here is how to get food and what it is used for in The Division 2.
Food can be found simply by scavenging the environment through checking random backpacks, green boxes, and other containers on the side of the road or inside buildings. Be sure to check out the can icons on your map for a sure way to get more food.
This food can be used to replenish Control Points around the city after being reclaimed from enemies.
These Control Points function as a fast travel point, contain supply rooms with resources for the player, and can visibly highlight containers more in the environment if the player continually gives enough food to the location.
Players can only hold a meager amount of food at the start of the game, though there are perks that can be upgraded to hold more.
Perks themselves can be unlocked for your character by visiting the Quartermaster at the Base of Operations, and spending SHD Tech points on them. Be sure to visit those Control Points often when your food inventory is maxed out.
This will allow you to keep your Control Points strong in The Division 2, and will limit the number of hostile enemies you see roaming around in that particular area of the map. So keeping your Control Points stocked with food is a great way to keep the streets safe, and allow you to explore a little more freely at the same time.
