How to Fast Travel in The Division 2
Ubisoft’s The Division 2 is out, and Agents have already begun to take back the enemy-ridden streets of Washington D.C. Sometimes you just need to get to the next objective, and fast. For those moments, knowing how to fast travel in Division 2 will save you a ton of time. Here’s what you need to know on how to fast travel in Division 2.
Limitations
To fast travel in Division 2 you’ll need to have first visited the location you’re trying to travel to. Finding safe houses all over the map is an easy way to accrue multiple fast travel points quickly.
How to Fast Travel in Division 2
Once you have a spot, you would like to get to in a hurry, simply press the touchpad or View button on Xbox One to open up your map and then select the location you want to head to.
It’s worth noting that it has to be one that you’ve discovered before. Once it’s highlighted with your cursor, press Square/ X and hold it in order to fast travel to that location.
For PC players to fast travel in Division 2, you’ll want to hit the M key to open up your map and then click on the area you want to fast travel to with your mouse. Hold down your mouse on the point to initiate fast traveling.
As you can see in the image above, the prompt will be in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
The ability to fast travel in Division 2 becomes increasingly essential when playing with other people in missions. If you go down for the count, you’ll be able to spawn at a nearby fast travel location to get back into the action.
Generally, you can spawn on your teammates to make it easier, but while engaging in combat, you are unable to. So traveling to the nearest safe house is your only option.
Unlocking as many of them as you can is your best way of always having a fast travel location nearby for any mission you’re doing, and can save you a lot of backtracking throughout the game.
