How to Taunt & What It Does in Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 has all the stylish, gory action and and over-the-top antics fans could possibly want. Nero and Dante are the same sarcastic jerks they’ve always been, and the new character V helps round them out with a more serious tone. Of course, in addition to all those combat moves, if you really want to make enemies made you can taunt them. Here’s how to taunt and what it does in Devil May Cry 5.
If you’ve played a DMC game before you’ll likely be familiar with the ability to taunt, as it’s something that’s been in the series since the very beginning.
How to Taunt
Taunting in Devil May Cry 5 has your character playing out a quick animation, usually where they make some rude gesture or say something snarky. All you need to do in order to taunt is simply hit the View button on Xbox, or the touchpad on PS4.
This will have your character play out the little animation, but be warned it will leave you totally open to attack from enemies.
What It Does
Outside of just being fun to use, taunts can increase your Style Rank in Devil May Cry 5. Style Rank in each battle compiles into your overall score for the mission, which then decides how many bonus red orbs you get.
Using taunts can be tricky, however, as you’ll be locked in place while you use them.
In order to get any kind of style boost, you’ll need to complete the entire taunt animation, so it’s really a better idea to just attack unless you’re aiming to just shake things up and be super stylish.
That’s everything you might need to know about how to taunt in Devil May Cry 5. For even more tips, tricks, and info on the game make sure to search Twinfinite, and take a look at our extensive Devil May Cry 5 guide wiki.
