How to Rocket Surf (Punch Line Devil Breaker) in Devil May Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Devil May Cry 5 marks the return for Nero, the angsty young hero introduced with DMC 4. This time around, instead of his demon arm, Nero has access to mechanical Devil Breaker arms, each of which has entirely different functions and attacks. One of the best Devil Breakers is Punch Line which has a pretty awesome special effect. Here’s how to rocket surf (Punch Line) in Devil May Cry 6.

Using Punch Line

Punch Line is one of a number of different Devil Breakers in Devil May Cry 5. You’ll be able to equip and order your breakers at the start of each mission, and any you pick up in a mission will be immediately equipped as long as you have an empty slot.

Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to use the Devil Breaker in your first slot, and you can’t swap between them at will. This means if you want to use a different breaker, like Punch Line, you’ll need to use LB (L1) to destroy your current one and get to the next.

To use a breaker in battle you need to hit B (circle), but make sure you aren’t locked on and pressing a direction, as that’ll have you use Nero’s grapple ability.

When you use Punch Line the arm shoots out and tracks an enemy, jetting around them and hitting them multiple times. It does a good amount of damage and can be a great way to build up your Style Rank. However, it has another use in Devil May Cry 5.

Rocket Surfing on Punch Line

Once you’ve set Punch Line out using B (circle) if you hold B to summon it back Nero will jump on top of the rocket arm and surf on it with style. You can control the rocket using the left stick, and there are a few different commands you have.

Hitting B (circle) will make Nero jump, Y (triangle) boosts forward at high speed, X (square) has Nero do a spinning attack, and A (X) will have Nero jump off of the rocket.

Using rocket surf is a great way to escape damage when you’re dealing with a ton of enemies, and weed out their numbers as you jet around the battlefield. It’s also just fun as hell to do.

Hopefully, that tells you everything you need to know about how to rocket surf with the Punch Line Devil Breaker in Devil May Cry 5. For even more tips and info be sure to search Twinfinite, and take a look at our extensive Devil May Cry 5 guide wiki.
