How to Raise Style Rank & What It Does in Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 is the latest entry in Capcom’s popular action game series, and it brings back familiar faces like Nero and Dante, along with a new character named V. Here’s what you need to know about how to raise your Style rank and what it does in Devil May Cry 5.
If you’ve played a Devil May Cry game before, you probably already know what a Style rank is. The ranking works pretty much the same way in this game like in previous entries, but here’s a refresher just in case you’ve forgotten.
Increasing Your Rank in Devil May Cry 5
Your rank will go up depending on how well you’re doing in combat. The lowest ranking is D, and it can go all the way up to SSS if you’re good enough.
To increase your rank in Devil May Cry 5, you’ll need to chain combos as you’re fighting your enemies, and constantly try new things like switching up your weapons in the middle of combos and mix up your play style. Essentially, sticking to just one combo won’t get you very far, so be sure to experiment.
In addition to that, you can also taunt your enemies for a quick boost in Style rank. Just be aware that taunting leaves you open to attack, so you’ll need to time it just right.
What the Style Rank Does
As your Style Rank increases, the music in the game actually changes a little and will become even more intense.
In addition to that, completing a mission with a high rank will reward you with even more Red Orbs which can be used to purchase items (including the valuable Gold Orbs) at Nico’s shop in between missions.
Because of this, it’s definitely recommended that you try to go for high ranks as much as possible in the game.
