How to Double Jump (Air Hike) in Devil May Cry 5

Recommended Videos

The return of the DMC series is finally here with the release of the first numbered entry in quite some time, Devil May Cry 5. If you’re here, you are probably wondering how to double jump in Devil May Cry 5, or as it’s properly known in game, Air Hike. Here’s how to do it.

In Devil May Cry 5, many abilities (including Double Jumping) are unlocked by collecting Red Orbs. Red Orbs are DMC 5’s currency for all things abilities.

In order to double jump with Dante and Nero in Devil May Cry 5, you’ll need to unlock the ability Air Hike. V can already double jump, with the help of Griffon, by pressing X/A while in the air.

To unlock Air Hike, go to the Customize menu before a mission, or at the points you can access Niko’s van. Then, on the skills menu, go to the abilities tab and find Air Hike, which costs 20,000 Red Orbs.

Air Hike is an important ability as it makes a big difference not only for dodging enemy attacks while you’re airborne (always practical and helpful) but it also makes your life way easier when it comes to platforming sections and reaching hard to get to areas. Definitely consider picking up Air Hike, AKA Double Jump, when you have the spare orbs.

If you’re struggling to get Red Orbs, you can check out our guide for how to get them fast. However, the cliff notes are this: You basically want to complete missions as stylish and efficiently as possible. Avoid taking damage and use flashier combos and you’ll get more Red Orbs in no time. You can also get more Red Orbs by looking in unexplored areas off the regular path.

That’s all you need to know for how to get Double Jump (Air Hike) in Devil May Cry 5 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more guides, tips, tricks and frequently asked questions answered on DMC 5, be sure to check out our wiki guide that’s complete with all of that good stuff.
