How to Get Costume Parts in Dead or Alive 6 & What They Do
Costume Parts are a pretty integral part of the Dead or Alive 6 experience, especially if you want to change up how the various characters look. This guide will tell you everything on how to get costume parts and what they do in Dead or Alive 6.
What They Do
Costume Parts are what you’ll need to unlock additional costumes for every character in Dead or Alive 6. Costumes require varying amounts of this important currency in order to unlock them.
It’s worth noting, however, that in order to fully unlock some fresh new threads for a character, you’ll also need the Coins to purchase it once you’ve unlocked it with the required number of parts.
How to Get Costume Parts in Dead or Alive 6
Costume Parts can be earned by completing all missions (those colored stars) in a quest within Dead or Alive 6’s DOA Quest mode. Completing a specific mission will net you a set amount of these parts for a specific costume for a specific fighter.
In other words, they’re not a general currency you can just spend on whatever you want, whenever you want.
For example, that means that if you go ahead and complete the second quest in this mode, you’ll unlock 300 Costume Parts for Honoka’s 15th style. This only requires 300 parts, so you’ve unlocked it in one.
For those that require 1,000 parts in Dead or Alive 6, you’ll need to complete multiple quests in DOA Quest and complete all of their missions. You only find out which character and costume the parts are for after getting all those precious colored stars, too, so you better get grinding through this game mode.
Parts can also be acquired by playing ranked online matches, arcade, and more modes, but the yield is quite low, so those should probably be considered a bonus and not the goal for those activities.
How to View All Character Costumes & Check Prices
To check out all the different characters’ clothes and outfits in Dead or Alive 6, you’ll first need to head to DOA Central from the Main Menu and then head to Wardrobe. Then, click on the character whose different styles you want to view, press A or X on any slot, and scroll through the ‘Costumes’ section.
The amount of parts you’ll need to purchase a costume is displayed by the number next to the blueprint icon to the right of each style variation’s number in the list (as shown in the screenshot above).
Once you’ve earned all the parts required to unlock a new outfit, simply head to the Wardrobe again, select the outfit, and purchase it with the required amount of coins.
