When Baptiste Is Coming to the Overwatch Live Servers (Consoles)
UPDATE: Baptiste will go live on March 19, as per Blizzard.
Blizzard has just revealed their newest Overwatch hero, Baptiste, who’s now available to play on the PTR. The developers are still tweaking out his kit and seeing what works before bringing him over to the official servers. That being said, here’s everything you need to know about when Baptiste is coming to the Overwatch live servers and consoles.
Before any new heroes are shipped over to the live servers, Blizzard always makes sure to bring them over to the Public Test Region first. That way, PC players can still get a chance to test out their kits and provide feedback, which could lead to a few necessary balance changes.
Once the Overwatch hero is ready, Blizzard will finally patch them into the main game where they’ll be playable in all the modes. It’s definitely worth noting, however, that each hero had their own testing period in the PTR. Wrecking Ball, for example, stayed in the PTR for nearly a month or so, while Ashe was only tested for about a week.
Going by this, it’s probably safe to assume that Baptiste will be in the PTR for at least a week or so, with a month being the latest. Blizzard hasn’t revealed as to when the hero will be coming to the Overwatch live servers and consoles, but we’ll be sure to update this post as soon as they do.
Blizzard also loves to release teasers and trailers for their upcoming releases, so you can keep an eye out on their official social media accounts, such as Facebook and Twitter, for any updates on his release date.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about when Baptiste will be coming to the Overwatch live servers and consoles. If you’re looking for more updates on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
