Does Metro Exodus Have Splitscreen Co-Op Multiplayer? What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

Metro Exodus tells the story of Artyom leading a group of Spartans across the uncharted territory of the surface after spending years in the metro tunnels. While in the past, we’ve tended to go on adventures alone, some players may be wondering whether or not Metro Exodus has splitscreen co-op multiplayer. Here’s what you need to know.

Sadly, we’ve got to be the bearers of bad news this time around. Metro Exodus does not have splitscreen co-op multiplayer. In fact, it doesn’t have any kind of multiplayer functionality whatsoever. Instead, the game is a single-player narrative-driven shooting experience. The story and the enemies you come across are yours to take on.

If you had been hoping for an online multiplayer free-for-all mode, or maybe thought that Metro Exodus might follow the craze and feature a battle royale mode, you’d be mistaken. Still, the story here is well worth checking out and we thoroughly enjoyed our time playing through and experiencing Artyom’s journey on our own.

That being said, if you’re looking for something to play with friends, then this is evidently not the game you’ll want to pick up.

That’s pretty much all you need to know regarding whether or not Metro Exodus has splitscreen co-op multiplayer. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding Metro Exodus guide wiki.
