Square Enix’s Left Alive Gets New Video Featuring its Epic Orchestral Soundtrack

Left Alive, most disappointing games, 2019

Today Square Enix released a new video about its upcoming survival shooter Left Alive.

The video features the orchestral soundtrack that has been recorded for the game at the Abbey Road Studios in London.

We hear from composer and Front Mission 4 and 5 veteran Hidenori Iwasaki, who took the task as a challenge as he usually scores games of completely different genres.

On top of that, we get comments from orchestrator Jordan Seigel (known for Trolls and Ant-Man and the Wasp) and engineer Shinnosuke Miyazawa (who worked on 007Spectre, Finding Dory, and The Last Guardian).

Iwasaki-san aimed to achieve a big orchestral sound that you’d find in a Hollywood movie, and I’d say he was successful, at least from what we hear in the video. The score really sounds awesome, and I can’t wait to hear it in the finished game.

Incidentally, you can hear directly from Iwasaki-san in our recent interview dedicated to the game.

You can check out the video below. If you want to see more about the game, you can also enjoy the latest gameplay and the unboxing of the collector’s edition.

Left Alive will release in Japan on Feb. 28, 2019, for PS4 and PC, and it’ll come west on March 5 for the same platforms.
