Far Cry New Dawn comes packed with a beautiful world filled to the brim with luscious greens, pinks, purples and more. Here’s how to use Photo Mode in Far Cry New Dawn.

In Far Cry 5, players were treated to a gorgeous realization of a romanticized Montana. There are no doubt beautiful places like Hope County throughout America, but everywhere you looked in Far Cry 5, you were met with backdrops that had everyone planning their next midwestern vacation.

With the first ever Far Cry sequel, Far Cry New Dawn, players are once again brought back to Hope County and despite a nuclear apocalypse that brought it to ruins 17 years ago, the famed area that once housed a vicious cult is looking better than ever.

Still present are the backdrops of Far Cry 5 but now they’re filled with new hues of color thanks to the post-apocalyptic super bloom.

What better way to enjoy those backdrops than with the game’s Photo Mode. Here’s how to use it.

When you’ve found an area that you want a shot of, open up the menu. Then, navigate your way to the Photo Mode option.

Select it and you’ll see your screen transformed into the display of a camera.

To move the camera, use the left analog stick. This will allow you to move the actual position of the frame.

To rotate the frame, use the right analog stick. If you’ve got a shot framed up but need to move up or down, use the triggers. L2/LT will make the frame descend and R2/RT will make it ascend.

When you’re ready for a screenshot, toggle the UI off with square (on PlayStation) or X (on Xbox). To turn it back on, press the button again.

The UI comes with a slew of photography options like field of view sliders, brightness, character poses, chromatic aberration, filters and frames.

After tinkering with all of that, you should be ready to take the photo. Hide the UI and hit the Share button on PS4, or take a screenshot on Xbox One/PC as you normally would.

Assuming you followed all of this correctly, you should have a brand new photo of Hope County saved in your media gallery folder, so that’s how to use photo mode in Far Cry New Dawn.
