Dead By Daylight will be coming to Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019, as announced during today’s Nintendo Direct. The horror-survival title is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that has a team of players going against a deadly killed, also controlled by a player.
Survivors play from a third-person perspective, while the killer is played from a first-person perspective. The survivors must elude the killer and work their way through the map in an effort to escape, while the killer, well, tries to kill them.
The killer is slower than the survivors but has abilities and tools at their disposal that can otherwise slow or maim players. Dead By Daylight originally released in 2016 on PC, and has received a wealth of free updates and paid DLC since then.
At this point, it’s unclear if the Switch version will just be the base game, or if it will include any of the paid DLC as well. We’ll make sure to update you should we learn anything more.
Dead By Daylight will launch on Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
There were plenty of other exciting announcements from the Nintendo Direct, including a gorgeous new action game from Platinum called Astral Chain, the announcement of Super Mario Maker 2, and a full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
