Are There Cheats in Anthem? Answered

Recommended Videos

Since the dawn of gaming, players have used cheat codes for a number of different reasons, mostly coming down to either making gameplay easier or more entertaining. While they aren’t entirely necessary for games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, players have still found a use for cheats in past Bioware titles, at least on PC. But are there cheats in Anthem? Here’s what you need to know.

Simply put, no, there are no cheats in Anthem. Instead, you’ll just have to progress throughout the game alone or with friends, upgrading your Javelin to earn more experience points to put toward powerful abilities.

The fact that there aren’t cheat codes in Anthem isn’t entirely too surprising, as the practice has been used less with each new console generation, though there are a few rare exceptions, like with the 2016 remake of Doom.

With that said, PC players should keep an eye out for mods, as the community-based practice has essentially replaced cheat codes in favor of altering the game entirely, sometimes creating massive new experiences on their own.

At the moment, Anthem is receiving mixed reviews. Many note that the game’s potential is on full display through its mechanics and visuals but that they are overshadowed by performance issues such as bugs and poor loading screens.

If that doesn’t turn you away from wanting to play Anthem, then you can pick it up on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One worldwide as of Feb. 22, 2019.

That is everything you need to know about whether there are cheats in Anthem. For more tips, tricks, and guides for Anthem, head over to our extensive guide wiki. Also, be sure to check back to the site, as we’ll have our own review out for the title relatively soon.
