Today Cloud Imperium Games released another video of its upcoming space simulator Star Citizen.
The video showcases some interesting aspects currently in development, including the procedural tools that are being optimized for the development team.
Those tools will help developers to create environments for the game much faster, allowing the universe to grow quicker than it did so far.
We also get to see the initial development on a pretty useful feature, in the shape of a 3D map that will be implemented down the line in Star Citizen.
You can check out the video below.
On the crowdfunding side of things, Star Citizen has now passed 214 million dollars. It’s currently sitting at $214,290,135 with 2,221,046 registered users.
Incidentally, for the sake of full disclosure, the author of this article is one of those backers.
If you want some insight on why so many support the game with so much of their hard-earned money, you can check out my extensive article on the topic and see some raw gameplay and screenshots. You can also check out a recent video showing more upcoming content.
We also recently learned that the single-player campaign Squadron 42 will enter beta in Q2 2020.
