Resident Evil 2 has a lot of different powerful unlockable weapons you’ll need to survive to the end. No gun deals out more damage than the Rocket Launcher. Here is everything you need to know about how to get the Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 2.

While it would certainly be nice to run through Resident Evil 2 with this RPG in your back pocket immediately, you’ll need to meet some prerequisites in order to use it first.

The first thing you need to do is play as Leon, as he is the only one that can wield it. Unfortunately, this item is still only available to use during one portion of the game.

Once you’ve reached the final stage of Leon’s scenario, you’ll fight Mr. X. Start out by dealing damage to him any way you can.

At a certain point, Mr. X will be damaged enough to trigger a cutscene. Ada will appear, Rocket Launcher in hand.

Ada throws down the weapon to Leon at the end of the cutscene. Walk over to the RPG, pick it up, equip it, shoot Mr. X, and that’s all she wrote on your battle with this tank of an opponent.

While you might not get to play with this toy for too long, it is certainly satisfying to use while it lasts. That is everything you need to know about how to get the Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 2.
