Is Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro Compatible? Answered

Kingdom Hearts 3 is a seriously good-looking game, often rendering graphics that rival the Disney CGI movies its based on. Regardless of which platform you own, you’re in for a treat. But is Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro compatible? We’ve got the answer.

As is increasingly the case with many modern AAA console releases, Square Enix has thoughtfully included graphics pre-sets that can be altered by the player depending on preference.

Essentially, you’ll have the choice to opt for either stability or fidelity, depending on whether you want to prioritize frame rate or resolution. Specifically, these modes are listed as:

  • Standard Mode: Offers better frame rate at the cost of graphics
  • Stable Mode: Offers better graphics at the cost of performance.

All consoles have these modes, but if you’re playing on PS4 Pro then you can expect better performance than the base PS4.

To access the graphics options, press the Options button to open the main menu, cycle down to down to Config, then down to the option near the bottom called Graphics.

From what we understand, the game can be run in the following modes:

  • Unlocked (Standard) Pro = 1440p / 45/60 fps
  • Locked Pro (Stable) = 2160p / 30 fps
  • Unlocked PS4 (Standard) = 900p / 45-60 fps
  • Locked PS4 (Stable) = 1080p / 30 fps

As you can see, there is a pretty substantial boost in performance for the PS4 pro over its little brother.

That’s all the information we have about whether Kingdom Hearts 3 is PS4 Pro compatible. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page.
