How to Unlock All Prisoner Skin Stages in Fortnite

Recommended Videos

The Prisoner skin has just arrived in Fortnite thanks to the arrival of the week 9 challenges. Upon completing 60 weekly challenges, players will unlock the Prisoner skin. As we’ve seen with past unlockable skins in Fortnite, this skin has various stages that can be unlocked. Getting them all is a little different this time, though. Here’s how to unlock all Prisoner skin stages in Fortnite.

To unlock Prisoner skin styles in Fortnite, you need to find prison keys scattered across the map. It makes sense, what with him being a prisoner and all that, you’d at least need to get that massive padlock off his face.

At the time of publishing, there is currently only one key that can be found in Fortnite, so only the Prisoner stage 2 is currently unlockable (alongside stage 1). We’ll be updating this guide as the other prison keys drop in the map so you can keep up to date with all available Prisoner styles in Fortnite.

How to Find the First Prison Key and Unlock Prisoner Stage 2 – Polar Peak (C7)

The first of the prison keys can be found exactly where you might expect it to be. You’ll need to head to Polar Peaks in grid reference C7, where this epic skin was locked up.

We advise landing on the roof of the castle here, and then heading down the stairs and dropping into the northern-most room with the two potential chest spawns. You should see the table, shown in the image a little further down the page.

This is important to note. You must be wearing the Prisoner skin in Fortnite in order for the key to appear, which is why the key hasn’t appeared for us in the screenshot above. However, when equipped with the skin, head over to the table and the prison key will be there.

Interact with it by pressing X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Nintendo Switch, or E on PC, and you’ll grab the key. Congratulations, you’ve just unlocked the Prisoner skin stage 2.

How to Get Prisoner Skin Stage 3 – Campfire on Hill in I7

In order to get the Prisoner skin stage 3 in Fortnite, you’ll need to head to the campfire shown in the week 10 loading screen, shown below. We’ve also included images down below of where you’ll need to head in-game.

What’s worth noting here, is that you need to head to this exact location shown in the images below. You’ll now see a campfire is there, and as long as you’re the first person to do so in the game and are wearing the Prisoner skin, you’ll be able to light it and immediately unlock Prisoner skin stage 3 in Fortnite.

This is currently incredibly tricky to do, however, as almost everyone who has the Prisoner skin in Fortnite is trying to get it, and only one person can get it per game. As such, it might take a little while, but that’s all there is to it.

How to Get Prisoner Skin Stage 4 in Fortnite – I2

With more of the Overtime challenges going live in Fortnite, the above loading screen was revealed, giving a clue as to the Prisoner skin stage 4 location in Fortnite. As we can see, we’re looking for a circle of lanterns, and it just so happens you can find this exact spot in I2.

In grid coordinate I2, players can find the circle of lanterns as shown below. They’re on a bit of a hill just north of Wailing Woods. Check our screenshots above and below to nail down the location of the Prisoner Skin stage 4 circle in Fortnite.

Upon landing there as the Prisoner, the torches will immediately light, and the remaining gear suppressing the skin’s power is removed. Congratulations, you’ve just unlocked all Prisoner skin stages in Fortnite.

If you need help completing some more weekly challenges so you can unlock the skin yourself, we’ve got guides for all weekly challenges, including the Dance on Top of a Sundial, Oversized Cup of Coffee, and Giant Metal Dog Head Locations, as well as the Golden Balloon locations from this week.

That’s all you need to know to find the Prisoner key, campfire, and torches locations and unlock all Prisoner skin styles in Fortnite. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the current season, be sure to check out our Fortnite Season 7 guide wiki.
