Another Thursday means that another set of Fortnite weekly challenges have arrived. The week 9 challenges are a fairly standard affair, but there are a few challenges that might trip you up a bit. Here’s how to complete Fortnite Season 7 Week 9 challenges.

What the Challenges Are

First off, let’s give you a nice and easy glance at what the week 9 challenges actually are in Fortnite. As you can see from the screenshot below, these are the real deal, and not a leaked list that’s got changed at the last minute by Epic Games.

Of course, knowing what the challenges are is only half the battle. Especially with the ‘Dance on Top of’ staged challenge, and those golden balloons to track down. So, let’s break down how to complete them all easily.

How to Complete All Fortnite Week 9 Challenges

  • Use a Sneaky Snowman (3)
  • Stage 1: Dance on top of a sundial
    • Stage 2: Dance on top of an oversized cup of coffee
    • Stage 3: Dance on top of a giant metal dog head
  • Shotgun Eliminations (3)
  • Complete timed trials with the X-4 Stormwing Plane (2)
  • Land at: 1. Retail Row
    • Frosty Flight
    • Haunted Hills
    • Shifty Shafts
    • Dusty Divot
  • Pop Golden Balloons (10)
  • Eliminate opponents at Junk Junction Or Retail Row (3)

The first of the week 9 challenges is nice and easy. Simply find the Sneaky Snowman item that’s recently been added into Fortnite and use it.

The next of the week 9 challenges requires players to dance on top of a sundial, an oversized cup of coffee, and a giant metal dog head. Fortunately, we’ve got a guide that breaks down all of these locations, including images. Check it out and you’ll complete that in no time.

Next up is three shotgun eliminations. This is something that can easily be done in a Duos, Squads, or a Rumble LTM. As soon as you’ve downed an enemy with any weapon, head on over with a shotgun and finish them off. If you aim for the head, you can eliminate them with this weapon in a single shot.

You’ll then need to complete three time trials with the X-4 Stormwing Plane. To find these locations on the map, be sure to check out our guide on the X-4 Stormwing Plane time trials locations. However, keep in mind when doing this that the week 7 challenge of destroying X-4 Stormwings may work against you here, so make sure to use evasive moves where possible.

We’re then treated to another incredibly easy week 9 challenge. Simply land at the named locations listed above and you’re all set. Nothing really to explain here.

To pop 10 golden balloons in Fortnite, you’ll want to check out our guide. It breaks down every single location of these golden balloons, including screenshots and grid references for your convenience.

Finally, you’ll need to eliminate opponents at Junk Junction or Retail Row. Here’s a little secret. The giant metal dog head is actually at the south entrance of Junk Junction. So, grab a weapon quickly from nearby and eliminate opponents as they’re dancing away here. That’s an easy few eliminations!
