Star Citizen players have been enjoying the release of alpha 3.3.7, and Cloud Imperium Games is preparing to launch 3.4 this month. In the meanwhile, more upcoming content has been showcased.
Star Citizen 3.4 will include the brand new Lorville Business District, which will let players explore the Hurston family’s headquarters on the planet. In a new video, we get a first look at what that looks like. We also see one of the new mission givers, Constantine Hurston himself.
On top of that, we’re also provided a glimpse of one of the moons that will come with 3.5 (which is likely to be released in March 2019), Lyria. The moon will be orbiting around the second planet that will also be released at the same time, the Coruscant-like urban planet of ArcCorp.
A second Star Citizen video released today provides an update about many of the ships in development, including the massively anticipated Carrack, which also stars in an extensive look at the exterior and interior in the video, even if it’s still work-in-progress.
In the meanwhile, fans are waiting to the Christmas Special livestream later this month, that will likely finally reveal when we’ll be able to play the single-player campaign Squadron 42.
The crowdfunding campaign for the Star Citizen seems to never really slow down, as the tally is now over 210 million dollars. To be precise, the game is sitting on $210,030,333 pledged by 2,191,507 registered users. It made over two million since December 1st.
If you want some insight on why many support the game with so much of their hard-earned money, you can check out my extensive article on the topic and see some raw gameplay and screenshots.
